Well I am back here in Mexico. We all arrived last Tuesday evening. The weather for the first few days was really overcast and quite chilly, so we were king of cooped up for most of last week. Praise the Lord, though, because the sun is shining and it is getting warmer, perfect timing for our first full week back at work!
Even though we didn’t get to do much last week due to weather, we did get a chance to visit our “WOW” colonias and we went out for Saturday ministery.
On Thursday my group and I went to colonia Los Granjas. It was really great to visit my friends that I haven’t seen in over a month! I was really looking forward to visiting this family that we had only begun to visit twice before we left. The children Junior, Justin, and Kimbo were so fun to hang out with and play with. Those kids were always full of smiles. We had been spending a lot of time with the children, but we still hadn’t had the opportunity to visit with their mother. Before we left for break we were able to visit with the mother a few times, and found out she was pregnant. I was excited to visit them when we got back, because I really enjoyed spending time with the children. I was really sad to find out that the family moved to a different colonia. They moved, but they left their three year old son, Justin, behind in Granjas. Please be praying for this family, that everything will be resolved, and he will be in a good home. Right now he is with the neighbor, who is taking great care of him.
